Technical information

  • Authentication cookies, session information, security events and diagnostic logs.
  • Information used to detect automated traffic, protect forms and enforce reasonable rate limits.
  • If you allow analytics, information about public pages viewed, approximate location, device category, browser, operating system, referral source and interactions with the website.

Information from partners

Offerwall, survey, game, advertising or promotional partners may provide us with transaction identifiers, offer identifiers, completion status, reward amount and related conversion information. This information helps us verify eligible activity and award points.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • Create, authenticate and maintain your account.
  • Provide deals, sweepstakes, articles, earning opportunities and member features.
  • Track eligible activity, calculate points and process reward redemptions.
  • Send newsletters or promotional updates you requested.
  • Respond to support, privacy, advertising and other inquiries.
  • Protect users, investigate abuse, prevent fraud and secure the website.
  • Diagnose errors, measure performance and improve Double Deal.
  • If you allow analytics, understand how visitors find and use public areas of the website.
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements and enforce our terms.

4. Legal bases where applicable

Depending on your location and the purpose of processing, we may rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contract: processing needed to provide account, points, redemption or other requested services.
  • Consent: for optional analytics, newsletter communications and other activities where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interests: operating, securing, improving and preventing abuse of Double Deal, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligations: processing needed to comply with applicable law or valid legal requests.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it was withdrawn.

5. How we share information

We may share limited information with the following categories of recipients when necessary:

  • Hosting, database, authentication, security, analytics, email and infrastructure service providers.
  • Offerwall, survey, game, affiliate, advertising and promotional partners involved in tracking eligible activity.
  • Reward fulfillment or sweepstakes administration providers when required to deliver a reward or prize.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement or other parties when disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.
  • A successor organization as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Third-party offers and websites have their own privacy practices. When you leave Double Deal or provide information directly to a partner, that partner's privacy policy applies.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies support authentication, security and core site functionality. Google Analytics is optional and is activated only after you select Allow analytics.

Essential technologies

Essential cookies and similar technologies may be used to:

  • Keep members signed in securely.
  • Support password recovery and other authentication flows.
  • Protect forms, prevent abuse and maintain website security.
  • Remember settings required to provide requested website features.
  • Attribute eligible offer or advertising activity where permitted.

These technologies are required for important parts of the website. Blocking them through your browser may prevent account, security and member features from working correctly.

Advertising and Google advertising cookies

Double Deal may display advertising from third-party vendors, including Google. When Google ads are enabled, Google and other vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this website and other websites.

Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this website and other sites on the Internet. You can manage personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center, or review participating vendors’ choices at YourAdChoices.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. Advertising partners apply their own privacy policies and any applicable consent choices.

Our Allow analytics button grants permission only for analytics. It does not grant permission for advertising cookies, sharing data for advertising or personalized ads. Where required, advertising choices are collected separately through an advertising consent platform. Declining analytics does not change a separately provided advertising choice.

Google Analytics

Double Deal uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, only when you give permission by selecting Allow analytics.

Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use public areas of Double Deal. Depending on your device, browser and settings, analytics information may include:

  • Pages viewed and approximate visit times.
  • Referral source and general navigation activity.
  • Browser, operating system, screen and device category.
  • General geographic information derived from network information.
  • Website performance and interaction information.

We configure Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. Google may still receive and process technical information when analytics is allowed. Google processes analytics information according to its own terms and privacy practices.

Google Analytics is not intentionally loaded by Double Deal in the private member or administration areas of the website.

Your analytics choice

Double Deal stores your analytics preference in your browser's local storage under the key dd_analytics_consent. The stored value records whether analytics was accepted or declined so that the website can remember your choice.

Local storage is different from a cookie but serves a similar preference-storage purpose. Your preference remains on that browser until it is changed or the browser's site data is cleared.

You can change your choice at any time by selecting the Cookie Settings button displayed on public pages. If you decline analytics after previously allowing it, Double Deal disables future Google Analytics collection from the website and attempts to remove Google Analytics cookies set for Double Deal from your browser.

You may also control or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Clearing browser data may cause the analytics preference notice to appear again.

7. Newsletter choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing newsletters by using the unsubscribe link included in an email. We may retain limited suppression information so that we can respect your unsubscribe request.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods may depend on:

  • How long you maintain a Double Deal account.
  • The time needed to process points, rewards, sweepstakes and disputes.
  • Security, fraud-prevention and recordkeeping needs.
  • Applicable legal, tax, accounting or contractual requirements.
  • Analytics retention settings and the period reasonably needed to measure and improve website performance.

Information may be deleted, anonymized or retained in a restricted form when it is no longer required for its original purpose.

Google may retain analytics information according to the retention settings configured for our Google Analytics property and Google's applicable policies.

9. Data security

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authenticated sessions, database-level authorization, protected administrative functions and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. International data processing

Double Deal and its service providers, including Google when analytics is allowed, may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, appropriate legal mechanisms and safeguards should be used for international transfers.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request:

  • Access to personal information about you.
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion of certain personal information.
  • Restriction of or objection to certain processing.
  • A portable copy of certain information.
  • Withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis.
  • Information about categories of information collected and disclosed.

To submit a privacy request, email contact@doublethedeal.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.

You may also have the right to complain to the privacy or data protection authority in your country or region.

12. Children's privacy

Double Deal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Age and eligibility requirements for particular offers or sweepstakes may be higher. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, practices or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or another appropriate method.
