Planning to repaint a door, cabinet or piece of trim? Tru-Swipe is offering free samples of its paint-testing wipes through an Instagram promotion. The wipes are designed to help identify whether an existing coating is oil-based or water-based before you start painting.
The brand announced a sample restock on October 1, 2026. Requests go through Instagram rather than a public checkout form, so you will need to contact the account directly.
How to Request a Free Tru-Swipe Sample
Open the Tru-Swipe sample promotion post.
Like the post and tag a friend in the comments.
Follow @truswipe, as recommended by the freebie listing.
Send the account a direct message asking whether samples are still available and whether your location qualifies.
Confirm any shipping charge, then provide your mailing address privately if you wish to proceed.
The brand’s post asks for an address by DM. Keep your address out of public comments, and check that you are messaging @truswipe.
What Are Tru-Swipe Wipes?
These are painting tools, not personal-care wipes. According to the manufacturer’s website, they help distinguish oil-based paint from water-based paint on an existing surface.
That information can help when deciding how to prepare a surface for repainting. Follow the product instructions and the preparation guidance for the paint you intend to use.
What to Confirm Before Requesting
Whether the free samples are still available.
Whether the brand can mail a sample to your location.
Whether postage or any other charge applies.
What the sample includes and when it may be sent.
The promotion caption does not specify a deadline, sample size or delivery schedule. There is also no confirmed country restriction in the information reviewed. Those details should come from the brand rather than assumptions about other sample offers.
Is the Sample Guaranteed?
No confirmed fulfillment guarantee was found. Treat this as a sample request and wait for the brand’s response.
If you have a painting project coming up, it may be a useful product to ask about before buying a larger pack.
