A little building time and a giraffe to show for it: Toys“R”Us has announced an in-store LEGO Geoffrey the Giraffe build on Saturday, October 17, 2026, as part of its Bricktober celebration.
The free build is available at participating locations while supplies last. Before adding it to your family’s Saturday plans, check that your nearby store is hosting the event.

What Is the Free LEGO Geoffrey Build?
The event gives visitors a chance to build a LEGO version of Geoffrey, the Toys“R”Us giraffe mascot. It is an in-store activity, so you will need to visit a participating location rather than request a kit by mail.
Supplies are limited. A store hosting the event does not guarantee that kits will still be available when you arrive.
When Is the Event?
Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Location: Participating Toys“R”Us stores.
Availability: While supplies last.
Hours: Confirm with the location you plan to visit.
One Confirmed Local Event: Macy’s Memorial City
Macy’s Houston Events lists a Geoffrey birthday celebration at Toys“R”Us inside Macy’s Memorial City in Houston from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on October 17.
That listing says children can build the LEGO set and take it home, with a limit of one build per child while supplies last. These are the details for Memorial City; check your own store’s announcement for its conditions.
How to Plan Your Visit
Open the official Toys“R”Us Bricktober page.
Contact your nearby Toys“R”Us location to ask whether it is hosting the October 17 giraffe build.
Confirm the event hours and ask about age guidelines, registration and kit limits.
Visit during the confirmed event window and follow the staff’s instructions.
Arriving near the start may give you more time to participate, but it cannot guarantee a kit.
Does Every Toys“R”Us Location Participate?
Do not assume every location is included. Confirm the event with the specific store you intend to visit, especially if you would be making a separate trip.
The October 17 build is a different activity from the online Bricktober sweepstakes. You do not need to use the sweepstakes entry instructions to find information about this in-store event.
